PSP Chicago Play-Off Updates

After considering feedback received from several teams, PSP will adjust the playoff-round seeding to reduce the chances a team repeats a match in the playoffs against the same opponent they have already played in the preliminary round.

Starting with the 2012 PSP Chicago Open, when six teams advance from two preliminary-round brackets, in the semifinals the top team from preliminary Bracket A will play the winner of the quarterfinal match between the 2nd place team in preliminary Bracket B vs. the 3rd place team in preliminary Bracket A. Correspondingly, the other semifinals match will be the top team from Bracket B vs. the winner of the quarterfinal match between the 2nd place team in Bracket A vs. the 3rd place team in Bracket B.
