I had a great opportunity to speak with Sean Selph, owner and creator of Guru Gun Stands. LLC.
Sean shares his interest in creating a quality Marker stand as follows.
“Being totally frustrated about my markers getting scratched and falling over in the dirt after practice and tournaments, I began to develop in 2002 a better marker stand. I started the business as Sean’s Gun Stands. The following outlines the development of what is now known as Guru Gun Stands LLC. I am committed on keeping up with technology, innovation and I enjoy the challenge of creating new designs to help the paintball community protect their markers.”
•2002 - First generation stand was made from pine and stationary
• 2003 – Second generation stand was made from birch plywood and was also stationary.
• 2006 – Third generation was made from a polyethylene and is fully collapsible to fit in any gear bag
• 2008 – Fourth generation colored pro stand made of polyethylene as well as being collapsible.
• 2009 -Fifth generation hybrid “09” stands are made with PVC and polyethylene
Guru Gun Stands offer a line of stands that are designed with rubber to grip the air tank; therefore this prevents the Marker from sliding. This design comes in a variety of colors that will suit your marker.
These stands are made of high-density polyethylene, therefore no worries about scratching your Marker! “The whole purpose in creating the stand is to protect your investment.” Durability is another benefit, Guru Stands will not crack or shatter so you can be assured your stand will be around a long time. They are fully collapsible to fit in any gear bag. Guru Gun Stands was also designed to fit most paintball markers with compressed air tanks attached. (45 ci, 68 ci and 70ci) They also accommodate tank covers. Guru Gun Stands also offer the consumer Pod stands that hold 12 pods. They have also created a pod locking system which locks between two stands and hold 6 pods. They also carry a nice variety of head bands, T- shirts and accessories.
Sean is open to the competition in this market, “It keeps me on my toes,” as Sean quotes. He is willing to help the community grow and is looking forward to his travels while promoting Guru Gun Stands.
