The New Digital Xball League

Recently brought to the attention of The Catshack Reports Paintball News is a game called Digital Paintball 2.1, it is a mod for Half Life1. Many people used to play this game back in the day, now it is just starting to make a comeback. As of now see the revival of this game with its own Digital Xball League that people are competing in online.

Right now there is a group of about a solid forty players and growing. The online game now has its own Digital Xball League (DXL) ran by JJ Gaglio which to date according to JJ is seeing real success. When they are not running the digital DXL, they do a lot of Pick Up Games (PUGS). Two team captains are chosen and they will in turn pick their teams and then play a match against each other (It is usually a Race to 15 win by 2). According to JJ, all of the players that play enjoy the game just as much as they enjoy playing “real” paintball. The rules of the game are pretty standard, when you first enter the game you can choose what kind of marker you want, barrel, pods and paint color, everyone will try to eliminate each other, if you get hit you are obviously out. The group have certain players that are able to create maps, so they usually make the most recent PSP /NPPL layout. Players also make clans, and do scrimmages against each other. For example JJ himself is in a clan called Make it Happen (MiH) once and a while they will scrimmage against a clan called VcK (named after the real Division1 PSP team)

•Step5: Restart your computer, go to your steam games, and it should be in your Games list, now just click play
